Ari's Little Ones

Daycare

                                              Curriculum

I believe little ones should have fun and learn through play because play is a child’s work. My Daycare is divided into learning centers where the children make independent choices and work on fundamental skills.  Each child has the opportunity to explore and play through learning centers. These centers include Language, library, pre-reading, math, block play, dramatic play, science, art, sensory table, manipulative, computer, Music , puzzles, etc.

Why Structure. Structure is a major part of my Home Daycare.

I have daily scheduled activities to keep the children active and involved. I have seen over the years that children thrive in an environment where structure is present and the children know what to expect from day to day. My schedule is designed to have structured and guided activities and also allows plenty of time for free play for the development of imagination and creativity.

My curriculum is focused on Early childhood Education program, featuring Hands On materials,  multisensory materials,  Basic Sign language, Spanish classes, Fire drills and Tornado drills are conducted monthly, Circle time, songs, games, Finger plays, Story time, homemade play dough, clay, Art, crafts, and Centers, Music and movement, Active play, and lots of fun!
Most of the materials, games, toys that I have are from school supply stores and all are non toxic.

I participate in the program of Kansas Reads to Preschoolers which a state-wide is reading initiative sponsored by the State Library of Kansas and the Kansas Center for the Book. Kansas read to preschoolers is a program from the Olathe Public Library. A Librarian comes to my Daycare to read a book to the little ones. This is a great opportunity to stimulate our little ones which enriches their imagination and creativity.
